About the Work<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I arrive at the same place in a different time.
The narrator returns to her hometown after decades away. The neighborhood is gone; only the empty house of her childhood remains. Moving from room to room, she recovers memories she had long forgotten.
There are moments when entering the room someone once inhabited reveals more than their words ever could. The objects left in place, the residual scent, the traces of habitation \u2014 these speak the person wordlessly. A room, as private space, is a kind of self-portrait.
Through a house where past and present coexist, the work traces the idling of the self and the mirage called hometown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
